A memorandum of understanding was signed between senior Philippine officials and Chinese ambassador to the Philippines Zhao Jianhua, adding that the monthly salary of Philippine teachers is 1,500 U.S. dollars.The agreement covers details of wage standards, related benefits, working hours, treatment and protection against abuse.
The Chinese labor department is also recruiting Filipino cooks, carers, domestic helpers, musicians and nurses, he added.Chinese families can now provide a decent wage for them.There is a great demand for English teachers in China. Chinese citizens want their children to learn English.
